Daze to Thirty A devised-solo work by Ingrid Taylor-Moss
Life is like wine.... and being in a toilet
Ingrid works is a wine bar. But that’s great because wine is delicious. But Ingrid is trapped in a wine bottle. But that’s great because wine is delicious. In fact, is more than just delicious:
Wine is a story; of time, Place, and people, Entire cultures sit behind the glass, You just have to learn how to read it. But scull that story and you’re smashed.
Swimming in the stories behind the glass Ingrid is lost from where other’s stories begin and her own are meant to exist. But while she’s lost, there’s still structure. Because wine must have structure, and Ingrid’s life lives by this. Fortuitously, there’s nothing like a milestone to wake someone up.
This is a self-devised solo show that runs for 50mins. It uses rustic storytelling with elements of the more absurd to delve into communication, identity, happiness, and imagination.
After selling out at Melbourne Fringe, Ingrid with the help of her wonderful sister, Ivka, brings the show to both Perth and Adelaide Fringe.
Because we're all in a bit of a daze sometimes....
